The Outdoor Connections Foundation is a non-profit organization delivering meaningful outdoor child-led programs designed to enrich the lives of children and families in the Elk Valley.

During our programs, we emphasize the value of being outside.  Participants have the opportunity to have fun in nature, while simultaneously learning new skills and creating new relationships.  Our foundation offers age-appropriate programs for children ages 3-7.

The O.C. staff are dedicated to facilitating outdoor experiences that foster self-discovery, acceptance of others, and an appreciation for the natural environment.

Benefiting the Community

We believe that all children benefit from time spent outside.  The Elk Valley is comprised of numerous growing communities with an increasing amount of children and youth.  O.C. is here to give those children an opportunity to come together.  With an emphasis on interpersonal skills, outdoor living skills and safe wilderness experiences, Outdoor Connections trusts it will serve as a benefit to this thriving community.

“Time in nature is not leisure time; it’s an essential investment in our children’s health.”
(and also, by the way, in our own)
